Business Sector Leader- Power & Industry Engineering

GAI Consultants is seeking an experienced Business Leader to lead and develop our Power and Industry Engineering Business Sector. You will be responsible for new business development, technical, and financial performance of a business with revenues of $5,000,000-10,000,000.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop GAI's Power & Industry Engineering business by initiating new client relationships and going deeper within existing clients in the traditional and renewable energy sectors. 
Meet profitability and productivity goals for the Business Sector by establishing chargeable ratio targets, within corporate guidelines, managing overhead budgets and meet the Business Sector's chargeable ratio.
Develops annual business plan for Business Sector by gathering information from direct reports, and monitor and report progress quarterly
Actively supports corporate mission, goals, strategies, tactics, code of conduct, policies and procedures.
Promote effective communication and collaboration of all types and at all levels within the organization. Must effectively communicate with corporate management to resolve issues and problems and to share personnel, workloads, marketing leads and ideas.
Work closely with other Business Sector Leaders and Operations to support the delivery of profitable, safe and sustainable projects and services for our clients.  
Participate in creating and administering company policies and developing long range goals and objectives.
Manage a group of approximately 40 technical staff.
 

Qualifications:
Must be able to personally develop additional markets and new clients while maintaining strong existing client relationships in order to grow those as well within the first twelve months of employment. Client development and marketing will revolve around generating work for staff with mechanical, electrical, piping and structural experience.
Existing long-term client relationships is a must.
Fifteen plus years of experience in the heavy industrial, mechanical, oil & gas, power, or chemical industries.
Eight plus years of experience managing technical staff and preforming duties such as: hiring, budgeting, employee performance and compensation reviews, creating group and department goals, etc. 
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited university required
Professional Engineer Licensure preferred 
Must possess demonstrated success in group and project management, staff growth and development, client development, and directing the concurrent execution of multiple complex projects.
Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to collaborate and communicate with and garner support from key stakeholders and staff.
 

Physical Demands and/or Other Job Information (if applicable):
Must have a valid driver’s license and vehicle for reimbursable company use. 
Must be a US citizen, without dual citizenship. 
Travel requirement is estimated at up to 50%.
