GAI Consultants is looking for a Mid-level Civil Engineer for our expanding Louisville, KY presence. Your responsibilities in this position will include leading Civil Site and/or Geotechnical Engineering Projects, overseeing Design and Permitting activities, and develop into the client interface for the market. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
 
The candidate will preform Civil Site and/or Geotechnical Engineering tasks including:

- Site Grading Plans
- Erosion and Sediment Control Plans
- Stormwater Management Plans
- Hydrologic and Hydraulic / Drainage Plans
- Geosynthetics Designs
- Geotechnical Investigations
- Various Geotechnical Engineering
- Leachate Collection Systems and Underdrains
- Permit Applications (earth disturbance permits, building permits, land development plans, etc.)
- Access Road Section Development
- Construction Drawings, Specifications, and Quality Control Plans
- Construction Cost Estimates
- Owner's Engineer Support During Construction
- Field Investigations

The candidate should be driven and be seeking the opportunity to:

- lead Civil Site and/or Geotechnical Engineering Projects for Power Generation clients
- develop into the client interface on Civil Site and/or Geotechnical Engineering tasks
- lead assigned Project Teams

The candidate should have the desire and ability to travel to Project sites, as needed, primarily in the mid-west and mid-atlantic region of the United States.

Qualifications:
- BS degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from an accredited school
- 4-6 years of civil engineering experience
- Professional Engineer license is preferred
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Civil Site and/or Geotechnical work experience and/or educational focus preferred
- Motivated, focused, hard-working, and eager to learn
- Solid communication and technical writing skills
