Summary:
GAI Consultants is looking for a Project Controls Specialist who can assist with financial support by tracking budgets, change orders, Deltek, etc.  This position serves as a point of contact for Accounting and a mediator between Accounting and Project Manager/ Team Managers for their particular Business Unit. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Point of Contact for Accounting, mediator between Accounting and Project/Team Managers
  • Participates/leads monthly Project Management AR/ULER status meetings, prompts Project Manager for client updates, and/or has direct client contact with Project Manager approval. 
  • Act as control point for information input into Deltek.  Setup and run Deltek reports as requested.  
  • Manage invoicing process from inception to completion with a heavy emphasis on accuracy.
  • Provide administrative support for contracts under direction of the project manager.  
  • Preparation, coordination and/or oversight of contracts, subcontracts and teaming agreements
  • Utilize Primavera software to plan and execute project scheduling

Qualifications:
  • BS/BA/or Associates Degree in Business Management, Financial Management, or Accounting.
  • 1-2 years’ experience working with an Engineering Consulting firm preferred.
  • Understanding of billing multipliers, overhead rates, margin/fee, escalation, etc.
  • Understanding of how revenue credit is shared across departments.
    Understanding of project budget structures for Lump Sum, Limiting Amount, Milestone, billing types that translate easily to project invoicing.
  • Previous experience with Deltek preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills.  Strong organizational skills and attention to detail a must.
  • Must be able to travel to other GAI Offices (approximately 15% of the time)
