GAI Consultants is seeking a Highway Engineer with a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Civil Engineering and Pennsylvania PE License plus a minimum of twenty (20) years of post-baccalaureate, progressively responsible experience in Civil Engineering. Potential work locations may include offices in: Cranberry, Homestead, or Southpointe, PA. Applicants would be responsible for developing, coordinating and executing transportation design and construction services efforts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties of this position include, but may not be limited to:
Provide oversight of construction management and inspection teams for highway and bridge projects with PennDOT and the PA Turnpike Commission.
Direct complex and specialized construction engineering administration and inspection programs.
Provide design management assistance and other duties required to advance highway and bridge projects within Pennsylvania.
Review deliverables for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, client contracts, and related specifications.
Responsible for financial success of assigned projects.
Assist with marketing and proposal development. Establish and maintain client relationships.
Experience must include:
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited Engineering School and a Professional Engineering (PE) License in the State of Pennsylvania.
20 years of experience in the design and construction of highway and bridge projects. Particular emphasis on work in Pennsylvania.
The ability to work on multiple, concurrent projects is required.
Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills, and have the ability to: interact with other staff, clients, Project Managers, and various Department Managerial Staff.
Knowledgeable in PennDOT and Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission policies and procedures required.
