GAI Consultants is seeking a Highway Project Manager/Engineer with a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and Florida PE license (or the ability to secure a PE license) with responsible experience with FDOT District 7 and other local agencies. This position will be located in our Tampa office.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Managing and developing highway engineering horizontal and vertical geometry designs through CAD software (MicroStation, and Geopak) using the AASHTO Green Book, AASHTO Roadside Design Guide, and applicable state/county/local government guidance documents.
Reviewing deliverables for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, client contract requirements, and related specifications.
Maintaining project schedules and preparing budgets.
Identifying project staffing requirements and coordinating staffing.
Evaluating design changes, specifications, and drawing releases.
Preparing project progress reports.
Bachelor's Degree from accredited college or university within Engineering.
10+ years of experience in highway engineering, drainage engineering and traffic operations.
Working experience and staff knowledge with FDOT District 7 and other local agencies.
Provide client management for existing and new strategic clients.
Develop project pursuit teaming relationships.
Maintain controls on budgets, scopes and schedules and quality on deliverables; develop proposals and costs, and mentor staff.
The ability to work on multiple, concurrent projects or tasks is required.
Must possess effective oral and written communication skills, and have the ability to: interact with other staff, clients, and Project Managers & various Department Managerial Staff.
Must know (through coursework or experience): AASHTO Green Book; Roadside Design Guide; MUTCD; HSM manuals; and MicroStation/GEOPAK.
